One of the hidden pleasures of Quonset Point is that Fat Belly’s Pub is tucked in the back of the clubhouse at the North Kingstown Golf Course (formerly the golf course for the Quonset naval base and now one of the best — and most affordable — public courses in the state).
There are Fat Belly’s Irish pubs scattered all around southern Rhode Island: this is likely the least well-known, unless you happen to golf here. Unlike some of the other locations, it’s spacious inside and has a great outdoor patio, the latter overlooking the golf course. It’s a wonderful spot to stop for lunch whether you’re enjoying a day on the links or pedaling the nearby Quonset Bike Path (it will take you less than 10 minutes to bike from the midpoint of the bike path to the restaurant.
