Ocean State Theatre Company Expands Family Fest

Kids and families can enjoy the magic of live theater at Ocean State Theatre in Warwick, in its popular “Family Fun Fest,” featuring a variety of performances on select Saturday mornings, which this year is expanding and offering shows through June.

“Not only have we expanded the program to nine different offerings for the coming season, but will also be self-producing four, two of which will be available for educators to bring their schools, and the other two, which will be performed by our teen company, OJTeenCo,” says Producing Artistic Director Amiee Turner.

Shows are “Polkadots: The Cool Kids Musical” on Oct. 8; “Airborne Jugglers on Nov. 12; “A Charlie Brown Christmas” on Dec. 10; “Me, Myself and Three” on Jan. 14; “Sing Away Hunger” on Feb. 4; “Pirate School” on March 11;  “Thunder and Potatoes” on April 8; “Bubbleology” on May 6; and “Bruce Kalver’s Magical Moments” on June 3.

Shows are held at 11 a.m. (additional 2 p.m. show on Feb. 4) at Ocean State Theatre, 1245 Jefferson  Blvd., Warwick, with single tickets going for $10 each, and packages of three or more for $8 each. For information and tickets, visit www.oceanstatetheatre.org or call 401-921-6800.
