Tickets are now on sale for our favorite foodie event, the 6th Annual Eat Drink RI Festival.
The 2017 event officially opens on April 26 with Fiestaval!, a product launch by The Backyard Food Company, a collaboration between best friends and gardeners Matt McClelland and Louby Sukkar. The event will feature custom cocktails from Bootblack Brand, small bites from Easy Entertaining, live music and entertainment. Tickets are still available.
Next up is Dinner by Dames on April 27 at the new Skyline at Waterplace near the Providence Riverwalk — showing off the talents of Rhode Island’s female chefs and mixologists in a fundraiser for AIDS Care Ocean State. This event is sold out.
Truck Stop is always the festival’s hottest ticket, and this showcase for Rhode Island’s mobile food purveyors always sells out — and did again this year. The April 28 event will benefit the Rhode Island Community Food Bank and will feature food from Friskie Fries, Gastros, Gotta Q, Like No Udder, Mijos Tacos, Noble Knots, Open Season, Rocket Fine Street Food, and more.
Eat Drink Rhode Island 2017 culminates with the Grand Tasting on Saturday, April 29 at the Rhode Island Convention Center, with samplings from multiple Rhode Island restaurants, brewers, vintners, distillers, and other producers. The event will also include food & drink presentations by local experts and — new this year — food author readings and book signings. Tickets for the Grand Tasting are still available.
