The annual Misquamicut Spring Fest got washed out by some terrible weather this year, but the Misquamicut Fallfest offers redemption this weekend.
Sponsored by the Misquamicut Business Association, the Fallfest runs from Sept. 15-17 at Misquamicut State Beach and features carnival midway games and rides, live music and other entertainment, a beer tent, and lots of great food and drink, including a fleet of favorite food trucks from around the region.
Headliners Rubix Kube will open the festival Friday night with 80s tunes, and Billy Gilman will perform on Saturday night. There will be a total of five hours of live music on Friday night, about 10 hours on Saturday and another 3-1/2 hours on Sunday. The festival also brings a quotient of quirky with reptile and martial-arts demonstrations, magicians and mimes. Electric vehicles, classic cars, and antique fire trucks will be on display, too.
The festival is held on Misquamicut State Beach on Friday, Sept. 15 from 5 pm – 11 pm, Saturday, Sept. 16 from 11 am – 11 pm, and Sunday, Sept, 17 from 11 am – 5 pm. Tickets are $8 per day, free for kids under age 4. Parking is free, and you can also print a $1 off coupon from the Misquamicut Facebook page. Call 401-322-1026 for more information.
