Let an Expert Guide You Through the Best of Rhode Island Dining This Week

Providence Journal food editor Gail Ciampa has been the leading authority on Rhode Island dining for more than three decades, and she’s brought together many of her favorite restaurants at this week’s ProJo Critic’s Choice Award Food & Drink Event at Rhodes on the Pawtuxet.

“Come hungry,” says Ciampa. “There will be so much to taste.” That includes more than 50 purveyors of fine food and drink, from foodie favorites like Persimmon and Los Andes, brewers Foolproof and Narragansett, Newport and Greenvale vineyards, and for dessert, ice cream from the Sweet Spot, Knead Donuts, and coffee from New Harvest and Bolt.

The event is Thursday, Sept. 14, from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Rhodes on the Pawtuxet. Tickets are $50 per person in advance, $60 at the door, and include food and drink samples and other giveaways. Only guests ages 21 and over will be admitted.
