The annual Jack O’Lantern Spectacular at the Roger Williams Park Zoo has a high-flying twist this year: visitors who attend the Halloween pumpkin-fest will also have the opportunity to ride the park’s new zipline to view the haunted hollows.
This year’s Roger Williams Zoo Halloween event debuts tonight and runs through Nov. 5. The 2017 displays will include carved and painted pumpkins with a historical theme running from the age of dinosaurs through ancient Egypt and Rome and into the Middle Ages, the exploration of the New World, and modern times.
As usual, music and lighting will enhance the exhibit as attendees wind their way along the zoo’s Wetland Trail. When you reach the end, however, you’ll have the opportunity to fly on the new Soaring Eagle Zip Ride to get a bat’s-eye view of the show from 115 feet in the air.
Friday, Saturday, and Sunday timed entry tickets (6:00 – 11:00 pm, with last entry at 10:30 pm) are $18 for adults, $15 children ages 2-12. Value Nights, Monday through Thursday from 6:00 – 10:30 pm (last admission at 10:00pm), are $3 cheaper. Roger Williams Park Zoo members save $2 off adult and $1 off child tickets. Tickets can be purchased online or at the gate.
Tickets for the Soaring Eagle are only available at the admissions gate and only available with the purchase of Jack-O-Lantern Spectacular tickets. Zipline tickets are $15.
